The Mask is the name of several super-heroes and anti-heroes from the Dark Horse comics from John Arcudi.  The most famous character to take on the guise of the Mask was Stanley Ipkiss, due to the movie adaptation, although the original comic adaptation was far more of an anti-hero and outright villain.

OriginEdit

When average man Stanley Ipkiss was looking for a gift for his girlfriend Kate, he came across a shop of antiques that was selling a very peculiar mask.  Feeling a compulsion to wear the mask, he puts it on, only to be transformed as a bizarre creature referred to others as Big-Head.

BiographyEdit

The MaskEdit

The various murderers, vigilantes and superheroes known as Big Head or sometimes as The Mask all gained their powers from the same mysterious mask.  Where it came from is unknown, but it endows its users with incredible reality warping powers at the cost of any inhibitions they have.

Stanley IpkissEdit

The first possessor of the Mask was a man named Stanley Ipkiss.  Most of Stanley's past is unknown, though he was in a relationship with a woman named Kate.
