The Scarlet Witch is a superheroine (and supervillain) in the Ultimate Marvel Universe and is based on the Scarlet Witch from the Marvel Universe.
Origin[]
The daughter of the supervillain Magneto, Scarlet Witch used her probablity-altering powers to fight for his team of mutant freedom fighters The Brotherhood before defecting and joining the Ultimates.
Biography[]
Wanda Lensherr was born the daughter of the mutant freedom fighter/terrorist Magneto and his wife Magda and was raised with her brother Pietro. She eventually discovered that she had the ability to alter probability to make seemingly impossible things happen. She grew up to eventually become a member of Magneto's organization, the Brotherhood of Mutants, to fight for mutant rights. She remained a passive member of the team, but after her father was seemingly killed, she stepped into a more active role, helping rescue the X-Men from the evil Weapon X organization.
She remained the leader of the Brotherhood, though kept in touch with mutant right activist and X-Men leader Prof. Charles Xavier and the two often talked about finding more peaceful solutions to human/mutant co-existence.
