Mr. Immortal and Deadpool, two superheroes who are seemingly immortal.
Immortality is the super-power to no longer be mortal, whether it means the incapability to die by any means or simply agelessness or an eternal potential lifespan.
Immortality in superhero fiction[]
One of the earliest examples of the power of immortality in superhero fiction was the supervillain Vandal Savage, who first appeared in an issue of Green Lantern Comics in 1943. The character, a caveman exposed to an alien meteor, was granted eternal life and used it to try to take over the world. Having lived to the modern age, he acquires power and knowledge which he uses in his quest.
