Outside the Comic[]
Comic penciller Holden McNeil and comic inker Banky Edwards created Bluntman and Chronic for their own independent comic based on two local marajuana dealers named Jay and Silent Bob. Years later, Jay and Silent Bob discover that the comic is optioned for an animated series, which breaks up the comic creating duo of Holden and Banky. When the Jay and Silent Bob learned that they will receive no royalties and that internet reaction is negative, they headed out to either get paid or stop the movie from getting made. Eventually, they would up on the set, getting into a fight with actor Mark Hamill and eventually gaining the royalties they earned for the characters.
